About the Experience
The Savegre White Water Rafting Tour combines adventure, rainforest scenery and wildlife observation on one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful rivers.
The experience begins with round-trip transportation from Los Sueños, Herradura or Jacó, followed by a scenic drive through mountains, tropical forest and rural communities toward the Savegre River area. A light breakfast with coffee is served during the journey.
Upon arrival, professional certified bilingual guides provide a complete safety briefing and paddling instructions. Guests then navigate the river in six-passenger rafts or smaller two-person rafts, accompanied by experienced guides and a safety kayaker.
The river features an enjoyable mix of Class II and III rapids, calmer sections and natural swimming areas. During the experience, guests also visit a rainforest waterfall where they can swim, relax and take photographs.
A picnic-style lunch, tropical fruit and beverages are included before returning to Los Sueños.
